10 thoughts I had when I was a child.
1-I was the tallest among children in almost my entire childhood. Everyday, i would day dream that w/ each year of age, i grow *estimates w fingers* and i add em to th tip of my forehead till my arm stretch till th max and i would be darn happy that i would be that tall in future! Of course, now ive stopped growing and im quite short -___-
2-I am damn scared of Muslim (i think?) women who are covered in black. They literally wear everything black and only reveal their eyes. I imagined them to be secretly witches who would kidnap children away if they werent w/ an adult. Thus, everytime i encounter such women, i hold on to my mum or my aunt damn tightly!
3-I admired doctors. There was an incident where i got a penknife and acted as a surgeon, operating on a pregnant women (Forgive my motherly instincts). I was th one being the doctor AND the pregnant women. My arms were doctors and my belly was the women. Slit myself on somewhere below my belly button and it bled without stopping. I was so terrified that i went to sleep w/o washing the wound. The scar still remains and my parents dont know ;X
4-I thought i had special powers to predict the future and that i was one of the heroes picked out by God for my gift. This thought occured because i could dream of the future...which happened to be what we know as Deja Vu and its COMMON -___-
5- I sincerely thought that i could fly if i attach a 100 balloons to myself.
6- Left a tooth under my pillow. It didn turn out a dollar. Looks like toothfairy didn bother w me.
7-Really thought that Santa was real. Wrote a letter and left it beside the phone in the living room. The next morning, i had proper gifts! But later, i discovered they were from my aunt so my Santa dream burst:/
8-I wanted to be a lawyer because my chinese name sounds like that: Li shi. & its similiar to a lawyer in chinese: Lu shi.
9-I thought i was beautiful...until i looked in the mirror.
10- Having a bungalow w a nice garden and a swimming pool. But after watching horror films, i dismissed bath tubs (corpse are often found in tubs and even ghosts), a second storey and beyond (it would be eerie), a swimming pool (water ghost, more corpse) and nice garden (snakes etc). Guess im just contented w a good ol' HDB :B
